LAHORE (News reporter)Halqa Arbab-e-Zauq Lahore held the seventh meeting of its current session at Pak Tea House under the title “Say Something About the Situation from Palestine to Iran.” The gathering was presided over by Hasan Jafar Zaidi.
The special session was dedicated as a tribute to Dr Aziz-ul-Haq, Zaheer Kashmiri, and Eric Cyprien. Joint Secretary Shehzad Faramosh presented the proceedings of the previous meeting before the formal discussions began.
Dr Saadat Saeed spoke about the literary and intellectual contributions of the three personalities being honored. Later, Dr Khalid Javed Jan presented a poem related to the theme of the session.
Senior journalist and analyst Habib Akram delivered a detailed talk on the situations in Iran and Palestine. He emphasized the need for a united global voice on issues concerning Palestine, Kashmir, and Iran, adding that regional cooperation among Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan could help address common challenges.
Secretary Halqa Arbab-e-Zauq Aftab Javed presented his written piece titled “Gyan of Palestine,” focusing on the ongoing humanitarian and political challenges facing the Palestinian people.
During the interactive session, participants raised questions on regional conflicts and international responses. In his presidential remarks, Hasan Jafar Zaidi observed that the conflict has both religious and political dimensions. He noted that people from diverse faiths and backgrounds around the world had actively demonstrated support for Gaza, while also discussing Iran’s resistance and the prospects of regional diplomacy.
The literary segment concluded with guest poet Abid Sial reciting his poetry, receiving appreciation from the audience. At the end of the session, Aftab Javed thanked the guests and participants and announced that the next gathering would feature a special Salam event in connection with Muharram-ul-Haram.
Around 75 people attended the special session.
