LAHORE (Zuaib Butt) Federal Minister and President of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP), Abdul Aleem Khan, has warmly welcomed the United States-Iran peace agreement, describing it as a historic milestone for regional harmony and international stability.
In a statement issued on Monday, Aleem Khan said the breakthrough extends beyond regional significance and represents a major advancement for global peace and strategic stability. He expressed optimism about the formal signing and verification of the agreement, scheduled for June 19, saying it has generated fresh hope for the de-escalation of conflicts around the world.
The federal minister paid tribute to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for their diplomatic efforts, stating that their commitment and engagement in facilitating the historic development had earned Pakistan international recognition.
“It is a matter of great pride for the nation that Pakistan’s civil and military leadership is receiving global appreciation for its constructive role in promoting peace,” Aleem Khan said.
He added that the international acknowledgment of Pakistan’s contributions reflects the country’s growing diplomatic influence and reinforces its image as a responsible stakeholder in regional and global affairs.
Reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to peace, dialogue, and diplomacy, Aleem Khan said the US-Iran rapprochement is a positive development that could contribute to long-term stability and cooperation.
The IPP president emphasized that every step toward peace serves the interests of humanity and helps build a more secure future. He reiterated that dialogue and mutual understanding remain the most effective tools for achieving lasting peace and pledged Pakistan’s continued support for regional development, cooperation, and harmony.
