PM Shehbaz Sharif Praises Security Forces After Successful North Waziristan Operations
Prime Minister commends troops for eliminating 27 militants in 72 hours, vows to continue counterterrorism campaign until complete eradication of terrorism.
Islamabad(Finale) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has paid tribute to Pakistan’s security forces for conducting successful operations in North Waziristan, praising their efforts in combating militancy and safeguarding national security.
The Prime Minister lauded the security forces following reports that 27 militants described by authorities as members of Fitna al-Khawarij were killed during operations conducted over the past 72 hours. He said the nation takes pride in its brave soldiers and their sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.
Shehbaz Sharif expressed satisfaction over the action taken against those responsible for the killing of Malik Saifullah Dawar, stating that the perpetrators had been brought to justice through the successful operations.
The Prime Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to continuing operations against terrorist elements and their facilitators, emphasizing that security forces and law enforcement agencies would maintain pressure until terrorism is completely eliminated from the country.
He stated that the government’s counterterrorism strategy under Azm-e-Istehkam would be pursued to its logical conclusion, adding that eliminating externally sponsored terrorism remains one of the government’s top priorities.
Shehbaz Sharif also said that the entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces in the struggle against terrorism and remains committed to defeating all threats to Pakistan’s peace and stability.
The Prime Minister reiterated that Pakistan will continue to strengthen its security framework and support the efforts of its armed forces to ensure lasting peace and national security.
