Indian Sikh Pilgrims Visit Nankana Sahib During Guru Arjan Dev Ji Martyrdom Commemorations

Pilgrims participate in religious ceremonies and visit historic gurdwaras on second day of Pakistan visit

NANKANA SAHIB/LAHORE (Finale) Indian Sikh pilgrims visiting Pakistan to participate in the martyrdom anniversary celebrations of the fifth Sikh Guru, Guru Arjan Dev Ji, continued their religious activities on the second day of their visit.

The pilgrims offered prayers at Gurdwara Janam Asthan, one of the most revered sites in Sikhism. They also visited Gurdwara Patti Sahib, Gurdwara Bal Lila Sahib, Gurdwara Kiara Sahib and Gurdwara Tambu Sahib as part of their pilgrimage itinerary.

Special arrangements were made for the visiting pilgrims, including accommodation, langar services, medical facilities, sanitation and transportation support to ensure a comfortable and secure stay.

Strict security measures were also implemented by the district administration and law enforcement agencies to facilitate the religious events and movement of pilgrims.

A delegation leader from India expressed satisfaction over the arrangements, hospitality and facilities provided during the visit and appreciated the efforts made to ensure the successful conduct of the pilgrimage.

Officials from the relevant departments remained present with the pilgrims throughout the visit, while special security arrangements were maintained along travel routes. Ambulance and emergency response services were also deployed to assist participants.

Due to the prevailing hot weather conditions, pilgrims were provided with cold drinking water and other necessary facilities. The visiting Sikh delegation is scheduled to continue its pilgrimage by visiting Gurdwara Sacha Sauda before proceeding to Gurdwara Panja Sahib for further religious observances.
