Lahore (Zuaib Butt) The District Administration Lahore has intensified its efforts to provide immediate legal relief to citizens regarding property and land revenue matters. To execute this mission, Deputy Commissioner Lahore Captain (R) Muhammad Ali Ijaz directed the establishment of a dedicated Revenue Open Court (Khuli Katchery) at the DC Office, which was chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue (ADCR) Hafiz Karim Dad Chughtai to resolve complex land disputes through technical expertise and expedited judicial proceedings. A total of 40 cases were presented during the hearing, involving matters of land partition, property transfers (Intiqalat), correction of revenue records, and the implementation of prior court decisions. Following a meticulous examination of the revenue records and hearing all parties involved, the ADCR achieved a significant milestone by resolving 20 pending cases on the spot, issuing immediate implementation orders to the relevant field staff to ensure quantifiable public benefit. The administrative execution strategy focuses on eliminating delays and protecting citizens from exploitation by providing a one-window style judicial environment where merit is the sole criterion for decision-making. The ADCR mentioned that these daily revenue courts have already provided relief to hundreds of individuals, and the process will continue without interruption to maintain a seamless flow of justice. Acting with institutional authority, the ADCR explicitly instructed the revenue officials to prioritise the correction of records and ensure that no citizen is forced to make repeated visits to offices for their legitimate rights. Deputy Commissioner Lahore Captain (R) Muhammad Ali Ijaz concluded with an official statement affirming that the protection of property rights remains the topmost priority of the district administration.
